Raymond Ho Kai Min
Co-Founder and Director
Raymond Ho Kai Min is a seasoned consultant within the insurance industry with two decades of experience in various facets of the industry. Raymond began his professional career in audit and consulting with Pricewaterhouse Coopers Malaysia (PwC), where he acquired expertise in auditing insurance company as well as in corporate tax. Following his time at PwC, he received wide exposure and experience within the insurance industry environment, both for life and general insurance, including in investment linked products. This marked the start of his career in the insurance industry.
In 2001, Raymond joined a Labuan-based international offshore insurance company as the marketing manager, where he developed his experience in the offshore funds industry. In this role, Raymond was responsible for establishing and marketing several offshore funds to high net worth Malaysians as well as corporates. He was also instrumental in forming the structured funds business in Labuan.
He joined MAA Assurance Bhd in 2003 and was primarily responsible for marketing the Group’s life businesses. Over the years, he garnered significant experience in property and vacation club payback schemes as well as group insurance schemes for corporates, associations and government bodies. Raymond also collaborated with various stakeholders on new marketing initiatives to write customised insurance products for MAA Assurance’s corporate partners, including working closely with developers for the Mortgage Reducing Term Assurance (MRTA) businesses. His tenure at MAA Assurance allowed him to establish extensive networking with several large public listed companies, fund managers and financial institutions.
Drawing on his rich experience and deep insights into the insurance industry, Raymond co-founded CSI International Specialty Brokers Limited together with Cheng Wait Kit in 2020. As a specialist broker, CSI International Specialty Brokers Limited provides bespoke strategic advice and innovative solutions that is tailored to its clients’ specific needs.
Raymond is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountant (ACCA) United Kingdom and a registered Chartered Accountant with Malaysia Institute Of Accountants (MIA).
Cheng Wai Kit
Co-Founder and Director
With more than 20 years in the insurance industry, Cheng Wai Kit has broad insurance market experience encompassing leadership and technical roles. Prior to co-founding CSI International Specialty Brokers Limited in 2020, Cheng Wai Kit was a class underwriter responsible for the Asia Pacific region with one of Llyods syndicates in Singapore. Before that he was Assistant Vice President of Casualty Facultative for South Asia with Swiss Re.
In 2003, he joined the American International Group (AIG) as a product underwriter for commercial directors and officers liability. At AIG, Cheng Wai Kit built up his expertise in professional indemnity insurance for the Singapore market. Cheng Wai Kit began his career at Marsh and McLennan, Singapore.
Cheng Wai Kit holds a double degree in finance and insurance from Deakin University, Australia and earned a master’s degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He is also a Fellow of Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
